The Carrie Diaries Season 1 Finale: Kiss Yesterday Goodbye Reaction

Are you ready for TV Tuesday? I'm going to be documenting my thoughts of last nights Carrie Diaries!

- Ah, teenage breakups. Fun, fun.
- "Are your parents racist?" "DUH!" LOL.
- Oh, stereotypical Asian archetype
-UM, he's (Maggie's "fling") ENGAGED? What just happened?
-Let it all out, eh? :P
-Oh, if only life was a tv show and guys showed up when you were missing them and it didn't seem stalker-ish...at all.
-Dorrit should NOT be doing such things and with a senior?!
-Awww, she said the L word!
-Good boy! Waiting!
-Maggie's definition of prom is SO TRUE. (Kind of).
-Oh, Maggie, letting it kind of spill!
-AND, fighting so soon after they got back together.
- Sigh. She breaks up with him so fast...
- And now Sebastian spills the beans.
- Mags going craycray
-Oh, he waited like, two days. Way to keep it in your pants, kid.
-Dorret's CRYING over that? They didn't even do anything! He just had roses and candles...
- Little Chinese boy? AWKWARD!
-Ah, the lies are parents tell.
-Ah, so NOW it happens.
-I love Larrissas makeup!
-Oh, I see this ending badly :/ Maggie and Sebastian drinking together as Carrie comes look for him? Uhoh...
-Mouse's dress looks like a shower curtain...
-hahaha jailbait!
-Woah, Carrie has a backbone!
-Wonder if she's going to break up with Sebastian again? I need to get a tally for these two!
-People fall in love so fast on this show! Sheesh.
-Aww yay, summer in NY. How it should be.

All I know is that there better be a season 2! Which isn't official yet.

Today, I did a video tutorial on an Old Hollywood Glam Look for Prom :).
But, the best part of this video is how to make your red lipstick stay on all night!
That part is at the end though, muahahahaha.
For some reason, I can't get the youtube video to show up here so you can watch it at the link:

Healthy Cookies!

Hello again!
For Fit Friday, I wanted to share with you one of my favorite healthy snacks!
I can't take any credit for this recipe because I got it from the amazing "Raw Sistahs". Their focus? Living a well balanced, raw life! They have great videos on healthy food, diy projects and workouts! They even collaborate with the RawBrahs sometimes!
Here's the original video:

So, if you're computer is too slow for you to watch that, or you want it for future reference, here is the recipe:

Ingredients:
1 cup of oats
1 handful of raisins (optional)
1 (or 1.5) banana
1 tbs of cinnamon
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
  2. Mix all ingredients together in a bowl, using your hands!
  3. Coat your aluminum foil covered cookie sheet with non-stick substance (whatever you prefer)
  4. Shape mixture into cookie size pieces and put on cookie sheet
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes
Okay, my notes for this!
- I use the microwave since I am in the dorms and that is more convenient! I put about 6 and nuke them for about 1 minute. Although, now I might try a bit longer to see how that tastes!
- The first time I tried this, I had yogurt raisins instead of plain raisins so, I used those. Oh my gosh, it was SO GOOD. It tasted like melted chocolate but it was healthy! Yum! That takes away the vegan aspect though so, regular raisins work just as well :)

Join me tomorrow when I reveal MY picks for the MTV Movie Awards!

Kailey

How to Apply for Jobs on a Busy Schedule

Hey there!
It's time for Time Management Thursday! Today I'm going to share with you my tips for applying for jobs while being on a busy schedule! Like... when you are going to school, working, and planning a wedding!

  • Just Search- For one day, for about 30 minutes, just search for jobs and write them down. I prefer creating an excel spreadsheet when I do this.
  • Apply on Breaks- While I don't advise applying for other jobs while you are actually at work, when doing school work and taking a "study-break" why not apply for a job instead of getting on facebook or pinterest? Its also a good idea to apply while you are on breaks from school.
  • Utilize the Save Features- Most online applications have "finish later" features so you can stop and pick up where you left off.
  • Perfect/Post Your Resume- Perfect your resume and then post it  on reputable sites like monster.com. They also have some really great tips on resume's and cover letters! But, by posting your amazing resume, companies will come to YOU! What is more convenient than that?

That's all for today darlings.

The Carrie Diaries "There's a First Time for Everything" Reaction

Good afternoon lovelies!
I hope you are ready for another TV Tuesday post!
As Carrie Diaries season finale is next Monday, I'm going to have something else to review or talk about. What would you like to see in these future TV Tuesday posts?

So, from the preview, it looks like the episode is going to go a certain way... and *SPOILER ALERT* it goes the opposite! I found this very frustrating but, at the same time I should have seen it coming. I guess I expect it from shows like The Vampire Diaries but, I don't expect it so much from a chick-flick-esque show. This show centered around Madonna's "Like A Virgin" tour but, we never actually see Madonna (which of course I didn't really expect). It did provide a nice juxtaposition to the events that were happening/were supposed to happen in this episode.  I did like the character development in this episode though with Mouse, Dorrett and Carrie. We didn't see any of Walt or Maggie which is sad because I like them!

I'm really excited for next weeks episode, and season finale though! Here's the preview!

Will you be watching?

Do you like this style of reaction better? Or did you like my "tweet" style better?

Kailey

Mani Monday: Rimmel London's Caramel Cupcake Mini Review

'Ello poppet! Instead of doing Makeup Monday today I thought I'd switch it up and do Mani Monday instead! Hope you don't mind!
I recently painted my nails with Rimmel London's 60 Second's Nail Polish in Caramel Cupcake.
I bought it on a whim and I have to say, I'm really impressed. I think the color is great, nude is like a Little Black Dress for your nails! I also really liked the application brush... its made so that you can swipe on your nails in one stroke, after I figured that out I was set! I did do two coats, but you don't have to to get color payoff like some other nail polishes I've had.
My only complaint is that it does chip really easily (then again, I have that problem with all nail polishes, even OPI) which could probably be fixed with a really good topcoat.
Overall I would recommend this, especially if you have a really good topcoat already.

Kailey
